Of Swine Aloft and Heaven's Mockery
Behold! What winged abominations rise
From earthly sties to mock the vaulted sky,
Their bristled forms on borrowed pinions borne
Through azure realms where angels fear to tread.
O paradox of nature's sacred law!
These grunting cherubim with cloven hooves
Ascend beyond the reach of mortal sight,
Their oinking hymns disturb celestial peace,
While Heaven's host in wonder and dismay
Beholds the swine usurp seraphic flight.
