Silvered Reflections: A Moonlit Reverie

How doth the moon caress the river's face,

Its gentle beams a query soft and bright?

Do ripples whisper secrets of embrace,

Or merely dance in fleeting pale delight?

The water's surface, mirror to the sky,

Reflects the stars and lunar majesty.

Yet depths below remain a mystery,

A world apart from what the eye can spy.

But lo! The current speaks in hushed refrain,

Of union 'twixt the heavens and the earth.

In moonlight's glow, the river doth explain,

That beauty needs no reason for its worth.

So let the moon and river's tender kiss,

Remind us of life's simple, profound bliss.
