Shattered Crowns: A Sonnet of Rebellion
In gilded halls, where power long has reigned,
A question rises, sharp as tempered steel:
Why should the scepter be by men retained,
While half of humankind must bow and kneel?
The patriarchy's grip, an iron fist,
Has shaped our world with biases untold,
Yet now we see the truth they have dismissed:
That talent, strength, and wisdom know no mold.
So let us rise, and break these ancient chains,
Defy the thrones that tyranny has built.
In equal measure, share both power and pains,
Rebuild society, free from past guilt.
The crown lies shattered, its oppression done,
A new age dawns, where all can shine as one.
