In Emerald Hills, where rings of gold do shine,

There dwells a hedgehog, swift and most divine.

With quills of blue and shoes of crimson hue,

He races 'gainst the villain's motley crew.

This Sonic, hero of the Mobius land,

Doth gather friends, a merry, loyal band.

'Gainst Robotnik, that knave of foul design,

Our champion runs with speed nigh serpentine.

Through loops and springs, o'er hills and dales he flies,

A blur of azure 'neath the summer skies.
