Journey Through The Infinite Light
In darkened woods where shades of sorrow twine,
Through gates of hell with Virgil I descend,
To glimpse the justice in th' infernal mine.
Cantos resound where wailing souls contend,
Their sins lay bare 'neath groaning vaults of dread,
And through Purgation's haze, where lost oaks bend.
But hark, beyond the skies a light is spread,
With Beatrice's grace, to heaven I ascend,
In layers of paradise, my soul is wed.
