The Tale of Munificent Aubergine

When golden rays of sunshine take their flight,

'Tis then fair aubergine enriches night,

Both sleek and dark, she's velvet to the touch,

With crown of green, bestows her royal clutch.

Her flesh a treasure 'yond our palates' dream,

Opens like nobles for a rich regime.

Thrice bless we thus her bounty on our trance,

In dishes grand, she leads us to the dance.

Oh fortunate those kitchens she does grace,

Our welcomed aubergine in her proud place.
